We Have Been Training Airline Pilots For Over 30 Years
Effective Date: March 11, 2026 | Jurisdiction: Sarasota, Florida, USA
Florida Flight Training Center ("the School") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines the types of personal information we collect, how we use it, and the third-party services we utilize to provide flight training, safety monitoring, and AI-enabled account management. By using our website, AI portal, or services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
To comply with 49 CFR Part 1552 and 8 CFR 214.3, the School collects and maintains highly sensitive Personally Identifiable Information (PII). This includes: Legal Name, Date of Birth, and Place of Birth; digital copies of Passports, National IDs, and Birth Certificates; Financial Records (Bank statements, transaction history, and proof of funding); Biometric Data; and Real-time Telemetry (GPS coordinates, altitude, and flight status via Spidertracks).
The School is federally mandated to share your sensitive PII and financial data with the following agencies for national security and immigration oversight: Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP/DHS), and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). You acknowledge that these disclosures are a condition of your enrollment.
Our AI Portal (ai.flyfftc.com) allows students to query their own training and financial records. Zero-Training Guarantee: We utilize a private, paid OpenAI API account. Your personal data, financial records, and flight logs are never used by OpenAI to train their global models. Data processing is transient and executed via secure Google Cloud Functions. We do not sell, rent, or trade student data to third-party AI developers.
By using the School’s services, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by the individual Privacy Policies of our sub-processors, which are incorporated by reference herein: Zoho (CRM), Aviatize (Flight Ops), Spidertracks (GPS), OpenAI (AI), Google Cloud (Infrastructure), Twilio (SMS Notifications), Stripe (Payments), and Zapier (Automation).
The School employs an "Encryption-First" architecture. All data in transit is encrypted via TLS 1.3 and data at rest is secured using AES-256 bit encryption. All sensitive student records are stored in secure, US-based cloud infrastructure to ensure compliance with federal records requirements.
The School utilizes Twilio for internal and student safety notifications. We maintain a strict No-Sharing Policy regarding SMS opt-in data. Your phone number and consent for SMS notifications will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All automated messages are purely transactional and safety-related.
Pursuant to FAA and DHS requirements, the School must maintain all student records for a minimum of five (5) years after the student's training has concluded. Due to national security mandates, there is no "Right to Erasure" until this five-year federal retention period has expired. This retention policy overrides individual requests under GDPR, CCPA, or similar frameworks.
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any legal action arising from these terms must be filed in the state or federal courts located in Sarasota, Florida.
