Privacy Policy

Introduction

EFFECTIVE DATE: 01/09/2026
Florida Flight Training Center is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines the types of personal information we collect, how we use it, and with whom we share it.

Nature of Data Collection

To comply with 49 CFR Part 1552 and 8 CFR 214.3, the school collects and maintains highly sensitive Personally Identifiable Information (PII). This includes:
- Legal Name, Date of Birth, and Place of Birth.
- Identity Documents: Digital copies of Passports, National IDs, and Birth Certificates.
- Financial Records: Bank statements and proof of funding for I-20 issuance.
- Biometrics: Profile pictures and, where required, fingerprinting records for TSA.

Mandatory Federal Disclosures

As a flight training provider, the school is federally mandated to share your sensitive PII and financial data with the following agencies for national security and immigration oversight:

Federal Aviation Administration (FAA): For airman certification and medical records.

Transportation Security Administration (TSA): For security threat assessments (AFSP).

Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP/DHS): For SEVIS record management.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) & Customs and Border Protection (CBP): For visa adjudication and border entry/exit tracking.

No "Opt-Out" or "Right to be Forgotten"

Due to the nature of U.S. National Security requirements for flight training, there is no "Opt-Out" provision for the data collection and sharing described above. Federal mandates override individual privacy requests, including those under GDPR, CCPA, or similar frameworks. The school cannot provide flight training services if the Applicant does not consent to these mandatory federal disclosures.

Mandatory 5-Year Data Retention

Pursuant to FAA and DHS record-keeping requirements, the school must maintain all student records (including PII, training records, and identification) for a minimum of five (5) years after the student's training has concluded. Data will not be deleted prior to this period, regardless of the student's residency or requests for erasure.
